RPMforge (now called Repoforge) is a repository of software packages for Red Hat Enterprise Linux and its derivatives like CentOS and Scientific Linux. It provides many packages in the rpm package format to these distributions.

How to enable RPMForge Repository on RHEL/CentOS 6/5/4

On RHEL/CentOS 6 32Bit

On RHEL/CentOS 6 64Bit

On RHEL/CentOS 5 32Bit

On RHEL/CentOS 5 32Bit

On RHEL/CentOS 4 32Bit

On RHEL/CentOS 4 64Bit

If you do want to disable RPMForge open file /etc/yum.repos.d/rpmforge.repo in an editor of choice.

And change enabled=1 to enabled=0.

Now if you want to enable rpmforge to install some package, pass on enablerepo flag with yum
